GIORGIO DI SALVO
About

Giorgio Di Salvo was born in Milan in 1981.
His professional journey began in the underground culture of the 1990s, rooted in the Hip Hop scene. This background led him to work as a designer on independent projects in the fields of graphic design, fashion, and product design.
In 2005, he founded the brand VNGRD, which opened doors to collaborations with major international names such as Stussy, Nike, Slam Jam, and Kanye West, among others.
In 2015, Di Salvo launched United Standard, a brand that quickly became a cultural platform, presenting collections in Milan and fostering collaborations with a wide range of entities, including Haunter Records, No Text, Nero Editions, and cultural innovators and artists like Cali DeWitt, Virgil Abloh, Misha Hollenbach, Varg, Lorenzo Senni, Rocco Rampino, and Daniel “Heith” Guerrini, among others.
A lifelong music enthusiast fascinated by multimedia technologies, Giorgio began exploring music production in 2010, delving into the world of samplers, sound synthesis, and standard music protocols.
This passion for sound led him, in 2015, to start self-teaching basic electronics with the goal of first understanding, then designing and building audio devices for sound production, manipulation, and playback.
In 2019, Di Salvo built his first tube amplifier, while simultaneously testing an extensive range of components and sound systems in an obsessive pursuit of sonic perfection and fidelity to the original sound.
Over the following years, he created dozens of audio devices, including amplifiers, speakers, distortion units, digital audio converters (DACs), and line stages.
Radiant Works marks the culmination of his sound research, where he merges the pursuit of audio perfection with radical design, using non-standard technologies and materials.
These objects, engineered and hand-assembled by Di Salvo, are crafted from technical and industrial materials, where the simplicity of the design enhances functionality, much like an algorithm programmed to discover the ideal form for expressing optimal performance.
This approach, where form and function harmonize through innovation, has always defined Giorgio Di Salvo’s work.
